A Year-End Note from the Editor
This year, my fellow GAPSS media executives and I, spearheaded the revival of our YIMBY blog. It was such an honour and a blast to be able to read, edit, and post all of the works from our GAPSS members.
I believe this blog was a nice break from the monotony of academic writing. Sure, we had some serious topics we discussed, and we cited our sources, but there was something freeing about writing about whatever we wanted, and in whatever tone. Where else can you write (in a quasi-academic setting) over 620 words about how much the Tesla CyberTruck is the worst thing ever built and have people read it!???Probably every other student run blog or paper, but regardless it was a nice break from the required papers of the semester.
So, I wanted to take this time to thank everyone who submitted a piece for the blog, and/or read anything that we posted. While it was hard work sometimes, I believe that YIMBY added an extra cohesiveness to GAPSS that we haven’t had in a while (maybe I am just rambling though).
I trust our contributors and readers will be in good hands with the new VP Internal Vanessa! I know she will excellent and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for YIMBY!
